Im currently a Platinum member (UK) and in the first year with the card i put about £60K on the personal card and £40K on business Gold. I am trying to work towards Centurion personal and am upping my spend with them probably to 6 figures this year on personal alone. Ive seen some people get an invite after spending roughly £80K a year on Personal Platinum and didn't know whether that was just luck of the draw or not?
Do any of you have any advice on other things that can be done other than just spend more to try get closer to the invite for the Cent card?
I have also registered my interest in the card but they said if i am accepted/on their radar they will ring me within the next 30 days. If i dont hear anything by then to give it another 6 months haha.
Any advice is always appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
I would just say that £80k sound quite low and there would be some factors at play rather than just luck.
in the UK, some banks have an official introductory scheme to Amex Platinum for their Wealth/Private banking customers, and I would guess that for those, even a more limited spending on the card could results in an invitation as their own bank account status, would guarantee that they have at least £500k + liquid assets, most often more.
