United is betting big on international trans-oceanic. Clearly seeing that they can lead over AA and DL since they are third from domestic passenger numbers and cutting lots of small destinations in the US to really focus on the profitable/higher-traffic cities that will help feed into the international network. Hopefully, UA keeps its domestic operations healthy in case of international turmoil. The new Pan Am w/o the tragic ending?
