I have flown the Sea-Ams ( as well as dtw-ams and msp-sea) lots of times and most of the time it seems like you are in the clouds ..... could I suggest that you take an inside seat.... that may help. If you get a window seat you can always close the shade. These routes also are shorter than the trans-pacific routes.
