Not exactly your question-but I've had two BAAH bookings and stays (prepaid) after crossing the 60K/20% threshold. One posted with the correct 20% bonus and one posted without the bonus. I'm basically at a loss as to how to correct the latter other than wait awhile to see if either BAAH or AA corrects it. I also think the points are probably calculated and added at posting, which means AA has dropped the ball in my example. But of course Aadvantage IT has been busy eliminating award charts so maybe they'll get to this later.
In my admittedly limited experience, the entire amount that puts you over 60K/100K gets the 20%/30% bonus. So if you had 10,001 LP and then had a single qualifying activity that gave you 50,000 LP, the entire 50,000 would get the 20% LP bonus. You have to keep in mind that the BAAH Boost counts as a separate activity while the Pay More To Get More Miles is included in the main activity, and they post in random order.
Here's an example. I made a booking that was to get me 36K "Base Miles" (including the Pay More To Get More Miles option) and 19K "Additional Base Miles" (aka the Boost). My LP balance prior to this transaction posting was ~7K. The 19K posted first and there was no 20% bonus attached. The 36K posted second and got the full 20% bonus.
