I connected last night through EWR (only 3.5 hours of delay, so not too bad, mainly due to connecting aircraft taking over 90 minutes to make it to the empty gate). Came into A, and had a gate change from A to C (then back to A and moments later back to C). A is aesthetically pleasing and seems a bit massive in scale. Shuttle wasn't horrible (I had DCA and PHL US Airways shuttles in my mind, so nowhere to go but up from there). I skipped the food in A because I got a reservation at Classified which occupied my time until the UA Club de-hoarded about 8:30pm. It's a long way, and from the very end of A to the UA Club at C120 was a little over 25 minutes. To compare, I arrived from IAD where I had connected A4 to C9 and made it in a little under 15 minutes via moon buggy.
I have to say that my earlier outbound from Newark was a much better experience... flew on Spirit to CHS and from curbside at B through Clear/PreCheck to gate was barely10 minutes at 8am.
