Use personal credit card for business flight?

Hi! I company I do some work for wants me to fly to an event. They offered to book and pay for the flight ticket for me.

I do have a credit card where I get points. Could I pay for the flight myself and get somehow reimbursed by the company? I would do this just to get points. But I don't know if this is legally feasible or even easy to do. If a company sends me money it may be perceived as an income and that will be taxable.

Could anyone give an advice? Also can I collect miles for the flight on my personal account if the company pays for the ticket? I am a rookie ...
