I used to fly F frequently before pandemic and find it depends on the crew - once when traveling with a friend - this was the old CX 889 on the ground in YVR friend and I were in F the whole time.

When traveling with spouse sometimes one is in J one in F and drinks - not meals - are usually offered to whoever is in J at some point in the flight. Sometimes they offer spouse to sit in the ottoman for landings. Fun times.
