So we ought to have had a pre take off drink then?Not exaggerating, it was very nearly 2 hours before we were offered anything-husband nipped down into Premium economy and cadged an orange juice as they were being given pre take off juices...The crew didn't seem to take food orders in any particular way, it seemed random, and they apparently missed my husband out. we had to ask for everything, top ups of wine etc, nothing about the service was pro active. They honestly made BA look good ! Flew home from SGN with Bamboo Airways- that was different!
Just flew LHR - HKG and back, first time on Cathay. It was poor. Pre take off drink was offered last minute and measly serving. During the flight the food was slammed down and crew hurried off before I could ask for anything (eg butter and jam to go with breakfast). Food wasn’t particularly great. Crew generally robotic and unfriendly, although one or two were bettter. It was not what I was expecting - I assumed it would be like Singapore. Won’t fly Cathay unless I have to.
ps it was so poor in my opinion that I came on here to see if others experiencing the same
pss I liked the first class wing at HKG. I would be disappointed if I were in actual first given the mingling with biz passengers, but overall I thought it was good. lhr first lounge seemed tired and very slow service for food in the restaurant
