NOS is reporting that an Amsterdam court has ruled that KLM can fire a captain after years of sexually inappropriate behaviour, threatening behaviour and intimidation.
He was accused of unwanted touching, stalking, rape, and sharing of unsolicited pornographic material and making sexual remarks to colleagues. He was also accused of shouting and threatening ground personnel and passengers in various locations.
He challenged his dismissal and sought €1.5 million in compensation; the court disagreed and he will be fired as of 1 May with a payment of €190,000.
One thing I do not understand - why have they scheduled a termination date? Will he be suspended on full pay until that date or will he continue to fly for them until that date?
