You can get 'Fragile' tags at checkin. One time in ZRH on my way out I mentioned that I had something fragile in my baggage, and they slapped the 'Fragile' tags on the bag. I've always got things packed fairly securely anyways, and I've never yet had a wine bottle or other things break. Just some smashed chocolates from time to time.
