Family 4 Night Stay - Just our speed
We just completed a Thu-Mon stay and Murano delivered for us. Not ones for extended days of tourist crowds in Venice, Murano was a perfect balance - close to access whenever we wanted and close to escape when spent. The weather this past weekend was perfect, so the weekend crowds on Murano were heavy and the Centric patio in front of the water taxi station Museo was packed all day…Aperol or Green Spritzes all around! So our takeaway was weekdays were v quiet but weekends v busy on the island.
Mornings before the tourists arrived were so great to wander the whole island.
We found the locals great and friendly, as we were one of only a few tourists in restaurants some nights. The hotel breakfast was better than the dinner imo, but staff was great all day.
Our room had skylights that popped at night to let in the cool air and we also left our window open. My only complaint about the room was the pull out couch was not comfortable to sit on and should be replaced. We had a rollaway for our kiddo and it was as good as the bed mattress. Our globalist gift was large still and sparking bottles each day and some candies.
We took the Centric water taxi from the airport (I had to reach out and they sent the Google form to complete and return), but left before the 9a returns started. We used the Murano public water taxi (11min walk from Centic, only one bridge to traverse) for Eur9.00 each to VCE. They have a QR code onboard to pay or you can pay cash onboard.
