Exactly! Since Air Canada bought out aeroplan it is just been getting worse and worse. This is very frustrating. I used to be able to fly business class. No problem with my points. Now it's almost impossible to get an e upgrade or to afford the points needed for the business class.
but now you can redeem your points for
any AC flight, not just the small subset that was available for redemptions before.
And then all you gotta do is hope that you actually get to fly in business, and not get bumped.
