I think I have stayed at this hotel 50+ nights, and on only one of those was I ever upgraded to a Suite. And, that was my prompting at check-in that a standard suite was available. Ever since then, I have noticed that suites do not even show up when booking on the Hyatt website or app, so I suspect these rooms are either blocked off, or pre-booked by long-stay guests. I believe that there are only five or six suites in this hotel anyway, so upgrades are difficult.

During my first year (pre-covid) of staying here, I was upgraded to corner rooms very consistently. During- and post-covid, the hotel does not upgrade much anymore; maybe just to a harbour view room of the same size.

Service-wise, it has gone downhill year after year, stay after stay. The people are just incompetent. Period.

Quality of F&B has declined significantly during covid times. I would say that we are experiencing the worst food-quality now.

I'd probably choose another hotel over this one now. I had booked/stayed here before as a long-stay goest when my or my family's apartment was being renovated. Long-stay rates of 14+ days were good...around HKD 560/night.
