They also seem to be putting this cabin on the Singapore route. Which is definitely considered premium. I flew this route in January in La Premiere and would have been rather annoyed if they had swapped me to the NEV4 cabin at the last minute.
At least by the end of this year there won’t be this worry anymore.
It was considered premium enough to be on AFs list for its now discontinued « Ultra Business » service (along JFK, SIN and HND).
I’d wager the NEV4 are being sent all over the place because the 6 plane fleet is too small for the current schedule (which is why we’ve seen 777-200 cycled in). This causes slack in the NEV4 fleet here and there and they end up cycling the network when another bird goes tech for example.
Just a few more months and this will all be behind us.
