Fortunately there's room for creative rerouting with partner airlines. QF1 SYD-SIN for example before connecting to BA12 to LHR... or QF1 all the way to LHR. That's before QR to LHR and non Oneworld options have been exhausted.
QF fly MEL-PER-LHR. And QR MEL-DOH-XXX (various UK airports)
