As a Diamond I was refused even one level upgrade, but they put me in the back of building 7 (supposedly garden view) that has garden AND some beach view, so I was happy with that. They said that it was a premium room, and that was an upgrade, but I am not sure what was premium about it, but I was glad about the view and high floor.
im not sure there really is a difference in a premium vs non premium room other than premium is usually building 5&7 which does seem to be quieter. We’ve done the premium checkin and the basic and liked the basic as it was much faster. Also the adult premium lounge is significantly better than the family (and you can use both if premium)
