I’d be really grateful for any advice on upgrading from WTP to CW with Avios.

I will have probably 220,000-250,000 once I’ve moved all Avios over to BA.

I want to take my family of 6 (grandparents included) to Orlando April 2024, so I am trying to work out possibly the best way to spend the Avios on this.

My first thoughts are to book 6 WTP return flights (LHR/LGW-MCO) paying cash then ring BA and if there are Reward flights in Business class available then upgrade all 6 of us for one flight?

So 6 premium return flights end March/beginning of April 2024, upgrade from WTP to CW for one way.

1. What are the chances 6 reward flights will be available in business?

2. I read its about 25-30,000 Avios per person per flight to upgrade from WTP to CW, is that a realistic assumption? and then cash on top for each person?

I have a few weeks before the flights go live so I’m trying to get together a plan. Just going through all possible options.

Any advice or tips would really be appreciated.
