It would be interesting to do a big data analysis on this. What is the correlation between agents being strict on baggage and:
  • aircraft type (A321' have small bins, MAX and 789 have larger bins, Q400...)
  • aircraft loads
  • which airport
I am boarding in Zone 1 and therefore usually not impacted except the time I tried to enter the US preclearance in YYZ from landside (not a transfer from YOW) and the AC baggage police (not pleasant, no smiles) were out in force and sent me to check-in where a helpful concierge walked me around to another entrance where there was no sizer being used.
