Similar to Entrada's post above, we are arriving LHR at 07:30 in UA Polaris and self connecting on an LX fflight that leaves at noon for ZRH. If everything is on schedule, would that allow time to clear immigration, use the Arrivals lounge and then clear security again for the Lufthansa lounge and our flight? Or would I be better off skipping the Arrivals and staying airside and just using the LH lounge? Thanks!
With that much time, you could skip UK immigration and the arrival lounge and go to the UA lounge instead. UA flights arrive in terminal 2B, but then you have a long walk to get to immigration and security facilities in terminal 2A. *A flights within Europe generally depart from 2A so you would have to walk back to 2B to access the lounge, then another walk back to 2A for your departure. The walks can take 15-20 minutes each way. My preference would be for the UA lounge, which I like better than the arrivals lounge.
