It's also the perfect plane for the surge in whatever X is happening now due to inflation. If you, on the same route, using the same airport, gate, staff can take 500 pax compared to 300 pax and have like 60 seats in J and 8-10 in F what would you do?
Even the 747 are back and LH seems to keep them running. Delays for Boeing etc. also does not make it easier to have a fleet that match the passenger demand
I don't think anybody is disagreeing that QR said the A380s were gone and long haul F with them. But now they are back, for several reasons, including some of those you suggest.

The issue here is that having brought the A380s back for 3 years (at least), are QR going to reinvest in a long haul F product that they probably thought they would not operate again until the 77X came on line some years from now.
