The fact that the OPs lady moved back to the aisle for landing suggests not getting batted by carts and people walking up and down the aisle might be the correct assumption. If I were her I would have mentioned/asked if it was ok with him that I moved, and why.
It's BA. The cart goes up or down once, if that. Not a huge amount of bother to move your legs for 2 minutes and enjoy significant amount of room for the rest of the flight
