Thanks SO much! I went to the Wiki page and it even mentioned ISLAND AIRWAYS - Bass Islands, Ohio. That's IT!!! The memory is quite hazy - the early 60's and I would have been under 10 years old. Not even sure if we flew there or took a ferry but I do remember meeting the plane for mail/groceries. Can't thank you enough . . . . Another part of my family's story found!

PS. Thanks EAJuggalo for the link to the photos! Wow, those 3 engines with propellers spinning - what a cool site. Not sure about the seating - curtains?? And wood paneling? Very cool. I do remember the oval door because they would pass cardboard boxes full of groceries with our name on it out that door.
