Care will have to be taken not to land in the UK "accidentally" - this was something I had to be mindful of when flying MUC-LHR-HKG if wife/I bought duty free goods (in the event a) neither of us bought anything dutiable and b) we used the T5-T3 International Connections because her BNO does not have e-gate)
