Question: Paid Ticket with no Seat Assignment for Child
Hi All-
My parents (both DM) and my sister and her family (4 adults 3 kids all older than 2) are booked HKG to YVR in I class via a new travel agent. For some reason this agent did not make seat assignments at the time of booking but they were all able to get seats confirmed later except for the youngest because Cathay says the flight is full. We've been checking daily to see if there's any chance a seat will open up but now it's time for online checkin and still no luck in getting the poor kid a seat.
Any suggestions on what to do? Flight is on Friday late evening, do they just got to the airport early and hope for the best? Would they deny the whole family boarding? or would they ask if one person would be willing to get re-accomodated?
