Yes UA has had multiple tweaks on there boarding order since that time. There were major changes in 2016 and then in 2018.
Then changes during COVID and it changed back in 2021. 1Ks preboard following the other preboarding groups. BG1 (after 1Ks) are First Class, Plat and Golds.
There are now 4 preboarding groups and 5 numbered boarding groups with Basic Economy the last....
