I’m retired from WN and I guess I’m used to it. It does make it very orderly. I’ve used AA and DL and with Credit Cards gotten status. It drives me bonkers that everyone comes running up to the gate at boarding time. The big time frequent flyers line up whether in F or in the back. expecting to get on first. I’ve been fortunate enough at times where I’ve PAID hard money for a F seat and someone on a BE fare with status in Y gets on first. I’ve seen them take water from the seats, tell the FA’s they aren’t happy they didn’t get their upgrade, etc. I’ve been in Y on a full flight and folks are asking to move seats, join the family or friends. As much as people complain, WN does have at least order and fairness.
