Service really depends on the location/employee. Some are great, other times it's like pulling teeth to get any sort of upgrade.

Call the CHM desk. I was declined 2x after COVID started and haven't used it since. I much prefer to go get my own car as I often got crappy cars when it was delivered.

Nope. Some airports dropped the car to you at the door upon your arrival to town. This ended eons ago. Some airports will still drop you at the door for your outbound flight (when you return the car to the garage/lot, ask the agent for a valet to the airport). They will drive you to your check-in gate in the same car you had rented, then they'll take the car back to the Avis lot. This was paused when COVID started. In the last ~year, it's ~50/50 for sites that have a bus/train. Some gladly do it; others say it's not possible. This was one of the best benefits for CHM and I'm disappointed it has not broadly returned.
