For sleeping I would agree that the NCW seat on BA is better than the Skybed.

However, for service, QF struck me recently as better in general than BA.

As for the QF32 issue, remember there is only one meal in J on this flight. If you ask, you can get a second service of sandwiches but they are not offered.

I also found that most passengers wanted to sleep on QF32 and that those of us "staying up" were very much in the minority.
