The moment you gave up and sat in those new seats you’re essentially giving them the upper hand….If I were in your situation I would have asked to speak to the Purser or Senior FA right away and also the gate agent. Unacceptable situation. Next time be firm and push back, escalate to the Purser right away - that is literally what they get paid for…..to resolve these kind of situations
