So I’m taking an international flight next month EWR-LIR on United.
I’ve been checking the seat map to see how full the flight is. On the screen to change my seats, it says that there are 80 available seats on the flight. However, after taking the time to manually count the available seats according to the seat map, there’s actually 93 available seats! Does anybody know why United would lie about how many available seats there are, especially when the number of actual seats are easily verifiable by the seat map they put in front of you? Granted, most people won’t take the time to individually count each seat like I did!
Seats shown as occupied does not equal seat sold. Not all passengers select a seat. Will be done at check in.
