We did not have to grab our bags at CDG. I asked this same question before I flew and everyone here was so kind to tell us how to do this. Unfortunately, while we were in the Skyclub at DTW, I received a notification that they had loaded our bags on a flight to SLC instead of CDG ???? As much as we tried to get our bags off the flight we couldn't make it happen. This had nothing to do with the bag being checked through but a mistake made at DTW so the bags had to be fasttracked to LHR from SLC and it was not on the plane with us. I did verify that our tags stated LHR on them when we checked in at Boise so I'm confident it would have worked.
