I did not pull the trigger on the package and I don’t think I would have gotten my $ out of it. Here’s how my wife & I sort of looked at things. We had diamond so the breakfast was free & its amazing. All the lattes & juices you want & a mimosa station included as well. So I’d always have a latte & 2 mimosas for breakfast. For lunch we’d normally go lighter, quite often a room service pizza that we split on our deck. The minibar has beer & pop, my wife has a Diet Coke craving so she’d have one most lunches for $7. I’m the drinker in the couple so I would normally have a glass of the red wine bottle we got as a diamond welcome gift which was free. Made that bottle last 3 days pretty easily. From 3-4 we would make our way to the Diamond happy hour for 2-3 drinks which were free. Then at dinner maybe one drink each for us, $20 range for me & $7 Diet Cokes for her. We did 2x go to the Eden cocktail lounge for Gin and tonics and to watch the sunset. We enjoyed those.
So you can see how we just didn’t see the math working for us. That said I was OK with not drinking as much on this trip as I would at say a Mexican all inclusive. One thing I’ll note, the resort is very room centric. Everyone has amazing patios and private pools so you’re in your room a ton, we went to the main pool one afternoon just to check it out & there were maybe 6 people there. If you’re in your room all day its harder to get drinks other than what is in your minibar.
Anyway my $.02 & take it for what its worth

Thanks! Yeah, I plan to get 3 nights' upgrades out of 6 so she can experience both different types.
And I am a diet coke craver too

But you made a good point. It's not like a Mexican all-inclusive. Even their alcoholic drinks normally mix with lots of water in them.
