FYI, the regular air and space museum on the mall renovations are complete and it is open again, but I tried to get (free) tickets there two weeks ago on a weekend day, and the allotment was gone by 935a. There was also a rather intimidating line for people who managed to get tickets. Ended up doing a few less popular museums instead.
