Paying the surcharge for additional guests would take away from my enjoyment of the lounges, so I can see why you are looking for alternatives. 500 SEK buys a lot of Max burgers at ARN.
ooohh... I may finally get to meet the mysterious GUWonder! We are in ARN on April 11 (easter tuesday) on the way back. Yes, last July we paid about 1500 SEK for a full lunch and drinks for all 4 of us at Pontus during the outbound, and misc during the inbound (the taco bar is about 200-250 SEK/person).

Yes, US Amex Plat, the recent 120k MR offer was just too good to pass. Wife and kids are swedish citizens, but not residents, so no deal there. And adding authorized users just for a few odd lounge visits a year doesn't justify the effort...

Son #1 will eat anything as long as it satisfies the urge to eat, so the SAS lounge would do the trick for him and mom. Son #2 is more of a gourmet and appreciates the chi chi stuff Pontus does (see 1400 SEK spent there last summer) so the pop up lounge does the trick. Last year they had burgers in the faux irish pub in LLA and something in ARN.
