Just to be aware, there are currently some works taking place in Al Safwa. The whole of the restaurant seating area along the windows past the bar is hoarded off. I was told this is for c.2 weeks during the "quiet period" (ie. Ramadan) to work on the curtains. So no runway views from that end at the moment, and this makes the dining tables around the bar feel pretty busy.

Given the increased numbers able to use or pay for this lounge now, I think they need to find a way to up their game for passengers with 5-8 hour overnight connections. This was the third time in a row that I have moved to Al Mourjan to find somewhere to lie down and even just get a blanket.The AM staff seem much more pleasant and flexible about finding ways to help long stayers.
