Agreed. I would not take that risk. Why take on the additional stress? I too am flying PHL-ZRH next month from BOS. Chose to get to PHL early-mid afternoon for the 7pm flight. Meeting a relative in PHL from BNA to fly with us to ZRH. He too originally booked about a 60 min connection. I talked him out of it and thankfully a nice AA phone agent allowed him to make the change to earlier BNA-PHL flight. Of course it was an easy argument to win considering the last time he flew that route (BNA-PHL-ZRH) with the 60 minute connection, he was delayed getting to PHL and had to run to make the connection.
Keep in mind too, AA says you have to be on board what 15 minutes prior to departure, you really only have a 50 min connection.
