Rented a car from Orlando airport and returned it to same location yesterday. When I arrived at airport returns, there were many people driving the cars back to where I assume is the cleaning and prepping area and only 1 person who was dressed in red who usually checked cars back in. Normally before I board my flight, I would usually get an email with the link with the receipt. However I didn't get anything and after 3 hr flight, my AVIS app still being rented. I called Avis Reservations on my way home and the agent said it takes 72 hours for the rental to clear out a return. I do rent cars often and would always get the email with the link for the receipt before I would get on my flight. Is this a new thing for AVIS? Or is Orlando airport just very slow since I rented a car a couple weeks ago in Dallas and received the email with the link to my receipt.

I even tried to use the app to return the car but it said I couldn't.

Anyone had similar experiences at Orlando or other airports?
