What specific date(s)? There are 6-8 SJO-PTY flights per day and PTY-SFO leaves in the evening time, so 5+ flights from SJO would get you in for this one.

Unsure what airline that is zero’d (apparently) in J would have instant upgrade space available, also does not help OP in the slightest
