DP on Vanilla GC serviced by InComm. Purchased 4x $500 Van VGC at my local Tom Thumb and all cards started with 4118. As usual after purchase, I checked them online and entered a personal PIN. I have done this for years with all of my gift card purchases to try to eliminate siphoning of funds. Used my first card at WMT yesterday about 4 hours post purchase with 2 swipes, $400/$100 with no problem. Went to a local grocery store this morning and tried doing swipes of $250@. First and second card, no luck. I did not try the third card. When I got back home, I went on the Vanilla site and looked up all three cards I have and they were all on hold. I called into CS and they said suspicious activity on all 3 cards, they thought the grocery store swipes of $250 was the culprit but the only common theme here is that I put my personal PIN on the cards. It seems as though this caused the hold and I used the first card before the system processed a hold on that first card. Next time, I will just try to redeem them straight off the rack given enough time for funds to be available. On some previous post of mine, I had some issues but did not seem to narrow it down to the PIN issue. I still have some issues with a couple $200 OD VGC that have extra security on them. These issues with Vanilla may be unique to me, I am not sure but its my experience
