Apparently, hhilton has changed their policy. They only need to upgrade diamond to junior suite. As I stayed in Conrad bangkok, and they do not have junior suite, that translates to no suite upgrade for diamond members! So diamonds staying at Conrad bangkok, you just have to book deluxe room to be upgraded to highest possible executive room. If you had booked executive rooms, they wouldn’t upgrade you further. At least that’s what I learned in my current trip. So the only way to get a suite room is to book one or do a paid eupgrade. So much so for being diamond members. I am seeing more and more of resistance of hotels providing upgrades. Maybe it is high time I do a rethink. Marriot Benvoy?
