OK, this is something else I don't get: "exit rows" (which tend to have limited recline and immobile armrests) or bulkheads (which have no (usable) seat pocket) for the "legroom". I'm just under 6'3" (and 34" inseam) and fit just fine under any WN seat. While I understand WN's seat pitch is supposedly better than most legacies, I've also flown AA and UA E- in the last 12 months and fit in those just fine, too.
I think it's kind of amusing to see guys shorter (and smaller) than me nearly running to get the WN exit rows, and I figure for 90% of the pax in them, it's all in the mind; so if WN wants to subsidize fares by charging for them, just like the EBCI and BS, I'm all for it!
I always travel with a large personal item, and extra legroom makes all the difference when there's something under the seat.
