Hello,
I'm flying with Air France on a long flight (more than 10 hours), in the 787-9.
I have a seat in business, and my +1 a seat in economy: my ticket was booked by my company, the other one by ourselves so the two tickets are separated.

I'm looking for an upgrade (at least in economy premium which looks quite decent), but in case it's not possible, I'd like to let my business seat to my wife, and go to economy.

Does anyone has experience of doing this with Air France? Is the best to ask the crew inside the plane?
