The digital image in the United app is horizontal, rather than vertical, with a bar code immediately below it.

The "Member name" and "MileagePlus® number" appear below that bar code in the app, with those descriptors, rather than on bottom right corner of the card itself, under a heading "Membership details".

Those details in the app conclude with "Expiration" "Thu Dec 31, 2099", whereas the card states "Lifetime member", as depicted above.

The reverse of the card includes a magnetic strip, the two phone numbers (including an alphabetic equivalent, 866-UA-CLUBS), and the following disclaimer:

United Airlines reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict, alter or modify the fees, benefits, services and club locations at any time with or without written notice to its members. Membership card and valid ID must be presented to gain admittance to the United Club.™ Partner lounges may require additional proof of eligibility. Membership cards are not transferable or refundable. This card is the property of United Airlines and must be surrendered or returned upon request.

There is no bar code on the physical card. Do United Clubs and their Star Alliance still have magnetic strip card readers?
