The only place I've routinely had problems recently is at the LH lounge at LHR, and that's because LH seems to frequently drop my *G status from my boarding pass. I have no idea why this happens at LHR, and it hasn't been a problem anywhere else. Asking the lounge agents to reprint my boarding pass generally solves the problem.
