Tranist from CAN
My original plan was to arrive at CAN and take the train out. I was able to board the plane. But at customs and immigration, they did not like my train ticket going to Hong Kong West Kowloon station. They said its not valid. Only way is to purchase ticket from CAN to HKG. Which I did on the spot and was processed through.
An airline employee stayed and helped me purchase the ticket. And she said prior to covid the train was accepted for the 144 TWOV, but now Guangzhou only want you to exit using a plane ticket. There was a few cases before me with similar itinerary. I called the Guangzhou General station of border control to inquire before I proceeded to purchase and was confirmed at that time, my routing is valid.
