Last week, I flew on a Cathay Pacific flight CX926 from Cebu to HK. I was booked into premium economy, so was meant to earn 25 tier points, but due to a last minute change of aircraft from a B777 to A330 without a premium economy cabin, I was downgraded to economy lowest (only earning 5 tier points). However, at the airport check-in, instead of refunding me the difference from the downgrade in ticket, I was given an upgrade to a business class seat. 5 tier points have been credited to my BA account, but I feel like I should have earned more as I paid premium economy price and sat in business. Anyone got any advice as to how many tier points I'm due or if this is correct?
