Every airlines has there own system for dealing with staff travel which is indicated by ID (industry discount) or AD (Travel Agents Discount) followed by the percentage of the fare paid.. !D50 (50%) is positive space as is AD75 for Travel Agents. ID00 is a free ticket. All tickets must add all other charges and taxes like FF award.
QF staff tickets begin with a boarding priority code beging from 1 (QF Board) through maybe 100. ID75 is priority code number 75. Then there is a seating code based on fare paid and class of service which is based on level of position with the company combined with date of commencement. In the case of QF, retired employees board after current employees. With companies such as UA, board is based on BP 1 thru BP 10 with priority based on position and then date of commencement of service so retires get priority.
American uses an A B C with ID75 or ID 90 category E, AA employess and eligible relatives on holiday are category D. Company business is B.
Hope this helps to understand that a staff ticket is not without frustrations and does not guarantee boarding or where you will sit on the plane until about 20 minutes before departure.
