We’re supposed to go from Luxembourg to Paris in a week and a half via TGV, Paris for 3 days, then Eurostar to London. Very concerned about the Paris part of the trip - either losing a day being able to be where we need to be due to another strike after we arrive in Paris, or having the train to Paris canceled in the first place. We have prepaid stuff in Paris already.
Im following more closely again after the developments today. I did notice that when the protests first started, many Luxembourg to Paris trains had been canceled, but less effected more recently. I suspect they’ll stop again Tuesday. How we’ll end up then is anyone’s guess at this point.
I’ve got a backup hotel booked in Brussels, so can go there from LUX if need be - also have a backup refundable award flight (UA miles on SN) to get to London, so would just need the Lux to Brussels train which I think is easy since there are no reservations and they seem to go practically hourly. Don’t want to have to use that, but have it there in case. If Paris doesn’t work - will go to Brussels (and maybe Brugge as well).
