I booked an all-LH itinerary from LAX to Sofia, Bulgaria on UA, for 2 major reasons: Greater flexibility for changes, and easier access to UA agents in the event of changes. Now, with my trip 4 weeks out and the strikes in Germany, I’m very grateful that I have the 1K line as a lifeline in case the work stoppages affect any of my flights!
