I'll likely just transfer points over from Chase since this combo of flights doesn't even show up in the Chase Rewards portal for whatever reason.
SFO > AMS > CPH via KLM
CDG > SFO via Air France
Actually - looks like there's some United/Swiss flights too, how's that compare to the KLM/AF combo? There would be 1 hr 55 min layover in ZRH, does that seem feasible?
ZRH is absolutely doable. My shortest connections there has been 45min (from Canada to CPH).
The lounges in ZRH are quite good a specially the E gates Senator lounge (non-Schengen which you will have access to arriving from the US if you are *G) where there are a whiskey bar with over 200 kinds to choose from, if that is your thing in the morning (lokal time).
The Alpine lounge (Schengen) is nice aswell.
I can't comment on UA's PE never tried it.
Doesn't matter where you book, KL or AF.
Is it an award booking where you are transferring miles to Flying blue? Have you had any activity on your FB account before? If not, please seek more advice as it could potentially create problems for you (confiscated miles).
